Captain MewMew has something to say

The Cover Launch Party is just around the corner! A huge thank you to everyone who participated. The results will be posted Saturday evening. Captain MewMew also has a special thank you:

I am feeling under the weather tonight. My personal remedies for subawesome energy are:

1. Water
2. Orange juice
3. Tea
4. Power opera metal
5. Drawing
6. Netflix guilty pleasure shows which will never be revealed to anyone but the NSA (they probably already know my embarrassing guilty pleasure shows).
7. Sleep

So far, I’m up to #4. #5 is about to happen while #4 blasts through my tiny computer speakers.

Have a good evening, everyone!

A Quick Post

I have some good news!
The deadline for the contest has been extended to 25 May!

The cover is waiting patiently for 31 May. I am excited about all of this! Part of me is tempted to post the evolution of the cover from the first sketches, to the first design, and finally to the final image. It is crazy to think that the idea I had in 2010 has turned into a full length novel!

Well, enough cryptic words about the cover! Here is what I’ve been up to lately in the world of art:

If Babylon 5 was an anime…and had a spin off series dedicated to the Psi Corps!
** NOTE ** I used google translate for the words “Psi” and “Corps,” so the translation might not be 100% accurate.

I periodically run drawings for free commissions on Facbook! This was for the winner of my St. Patrick’s Day drawing.

More Babylon 5 fanart. This is one of the advantages of painting, if you want to decorate your walls with something obscure, you can!
Sparkly space hipster kitty!

April Photos, Bring May…A Rhyme

I challenged myself to take a picture a day during the month of April. I only missed one day! I posted some of the pictures on here. If you want to see them all, check out The Command Deck’s facebook page!

I have some Q&A about the contest, but first, let me take a selfie:

Business cards and some glossy prints of my main character!

Cover Launch Contest Q&A

Can I bake something?
Yes! You can bake a cake, cupcakes, cookies–you name it! Just make sure you decorate it, color it, or somehow tie it to the quote. Take a picture of your work, and send it in!

I can’t see the email address. Did I miss it?
Here you go!

Morning coffee time, and look what’s parked outside the little grocery store!

No scooter riding!

Rain, rain, rain…

The pieces are finally starting to fall into place, and the finish line is within site. World Domination Cat has nothing on me! Since I’m thrilled that The Year is Now is almost here, I decided to throw a contest with awesome prizes! The winners will be revealed when I release the cover!
