It is finally here!

Remember that super secret children’s book project I kept mentioning last year? All that hard work has finally paid off!

Introducing Sara and the Buprleberry Rescue!

Join Sara as she journeys through space to rescue planet Zoron’s crown prince from a gloomy doom!
You can preview it here at my lulu storefront: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/mlcrabb
I’ve also added a permanent link to the right panel.

On a Whim!

I did something on a whim Friday night. I found a picture I drew in 2009 of my own “concept Romulan uniform.” Ever being fashion conscious (or not), I winced when I saw the older drawing and was immediately inspired to redraw it.

Here is Friday night’s adventure in drawing:

Do not mess with the Romulan Tal Shiar!

…and here is the fashion disaster of 2009 (I have it on my Deviant Art account somewhere too):

Busy Little Bee!

I’ve been busy (mostly getting sidetracked) with a lot of things, but I managed to squeeze in another drawing for January. Yes, it’s Babylon 5 related…I can’t seem to not stay away from that show!

Talia’s Night Out
~ A night of solitary reflection ~
I’m going to eventually digitalize it. I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it though. I feel like a scatterbrain with all of the things I keep getting distracted with!
I am going to keep uploading pictures as I draw them instead of doing a giant post at the end of the month. I want to see how I like it compared to how I did it the previous two years.

Mirror, Mirror

This is what happens when the printer gives me a fresh, warm blank sheet of paper with my documents!

I can’t let the beautifully blank pieces of paper go to waste, now can I? …The poor neglected tree pulp.

Self Portrait

It’s been a few years since I’ve done a self portrait. The last one I attempted looked like I had a huge chin with a mind of it’s own. I’m very pleased with this one and its obedient chin.

Goddess

I wanted to try something a little different, and this was the result. I am thinking about painting this one on canvas.

Knitting into 2013, psychic cops included

Knitting with my looms is relaxing and rewarding because I can finish projects at a decent pace (except for scarves. Scarves bore me to tears!). On the surface, the circular and rectangular pegged looms look dull and lifeless, promising only hats and scarves.

One only needs so many hats…so I’ve learned to test, experiment, and meddle with crazy ideas; it’s how the octopus and the infant from 2011 came about!

My latest experiment involves making a miniature plush, stuffed doll with oodles of cute factor. What better way to test my idea out than to use my favorite Sci-Fi character, Alfred Bester!

On a completely unrelated topic, I made myself a Star Trek badge. It’s very “glam” with all the sparkles on it.
